With just over a month left until the submission deadline, now is the perfect time to start working on the Power Your Future Challenge. This submission checklist — and other challenge resources — can help your team learn more about clean energy and develop an action plan.
Priority action items include:
- Register for the challenge in Luminary Lightbox™.
- Share the details of the challenge with principals or district administrators and receive approval.
- Explore and discuss clean energy with students.
- Identify a problem and brainstorm solutions — then choose the best one for your team to pursue.
- Create a timeframe for the implementation and identify major milestones.
- Determine the budget and/or resources needed to implement your solution.
- Invite students to consider how their knowledge, skills, and courses contribute to the solution design.
- Finalize and submit your idea.

Find out what you’ll need to submit
We encourage teachers to register for the challenge and explore the submission form. While the submission form asks for a thoughtful explanation of your team’s action plan, the submission questions are limited to short responses. Submissions are due by November 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
